Mineko’s Night Market download PC
Mineko's Night Market is a PC and Switch sandbox with RPG and economic strategy elements. The production was developed by Meowza Games, a Canadian studio.
The action of the game takes place on a fictional Japanese island, in the center of which is Mount Fugu. It is inhabited by hordes of cats and a small community of superstitious farmers who believe in the existence of a cat god named Abe. We play the role of a curious girl named Mineko, who comes to the island in order to open her own business.
Released on PC and Switch, Mineko's Night Market is a genre cocktail combining elements of RPG, adventure and economic strategy. While playing, players explore the village and the surrounding areas in search of raw materials and ingredients. These items are then used to make decorations, toys and other items that can be sold at the stall during the weekly market.
Each fair is a part of a festival dedicated to a specific aspect of local beliefs and customs. In total we will find sixteen such holidays in the game, and each of them offers different events and opportunities. After earning money we can check the offer on other stalls, buy items or take part in various mini-games, such as karaoke, kabuki theater, sumo competitions or playing taiko drums.
During the game we can also undertake tasks for residents, meet new people and make friends with them, gain cats' liking and unblock new means of transport. The island also hides a lot of mysteries, among which the central role is played by the case of reports on meetings with the cat's deity Abe.
Mineko's Night Market offers an attractive two-dimensional graphic design made in an unusual style. Its author is Brent Kobayashi, whose works we could admire in such projects as Road Not Taken, Alphabear or Bushido Bear.
